The Climb

She was at the top of the mountain. She looked around and took it all in. Breathed the air she had longed to breathe. Saw what she was dying to see. The view was to die for. The sun couldn't be distinguished from the sky behind. Everything seemed to begin from each other and merge into each other. There were no dimensions. No concept of time or space. Everything was just there. Everything just existed. There was peace.
A little girl once had a fall.She fell off a mountain top. A very bad fall. Like Humpty-Dumpty did. Now we all know that Humpty-Dumpty was pushed. But this little girl fell on her own, she wasn't pushed. And like Humpty, she was also broken, she wasn't an egg though. It took all the king's horses and all the king's men, but they couldn't put her together again. So the king called his wife and asked her to help out. The queen went and spoke to the little girl. She soon found that the girl had enjoyed the fall, she just didn't like the landing. She began climbing up the mountain again. Slowly, ever so slowly, she made progress.
After days, weeks, months, she was finally where she wanted to be. She was at the top of the mountain. She looked around and took it all in. Breathed the air she had longed to breathe. But then she felt someting really annoying. Something that ruined the peace and created an aura of axiousness around her. Before long, she wanted to jump off the cliff again. How could she though? After all the effort it took to get back up the mountain, how could she jump off again?
She was determined, but then again, she wasn't. So she stepped towards the edge of the cliff and closed her eyes. Her head spun. She opened her eyes, it stopped spinning.
She closed her eyes again, the world didn't spin, neither did she.
She stood at the edge of the cliff and decided she would do what came naturally to her. With that thought she took a leap of faith, and jumped right off. Again.
