I noticed it. They notice it too. The smell of the approaching rain. The cold breeze on my cheek. The sound of mogwai. The birds rushing home.
Its the same, yet somehow, the innocence is gone. The plane going over head. Sitting exactly where I was when I wrote my first song, while my inspiration, the one who inspired me, ran around like an idiot. The same place, where I first declared my love. The same place where I sat and cried about petty teenage problems.
I said it again. It was different. All because we aren't naive anymore, we aren't innocent. And love is no longer a fairytale.
The wind whistled.
Now that I feel I've seen a bit of "love", I tell, whoever asks me, that love is not all rainbows and butterflies. It's pain and the ability to find forgiveness through hurt and anger. It's the ability to trust after being betrayed. However now, more than ever, I believe in the saying "ignorance is bliss".
Initially I believed in all the things you say when you are a puppy. And it made everything so easy. It made love so easy. Now, I hate to say that I've learnt the way of the world; and to my disappointment, I've unknowingly started following them and have gotten accustomed to them. Even though I don't accept them.
The clouds look red. A light zephyr blows. The street lights are on.
So what if they're naive? at least they're happy. So what if love isn't what you see in movies? It's so much easier that way.
fruit bat.
Ever noticed how clouds don't have a silver lining at night?
I hate the fact that we grow up.
My first rule was "loving someone is not enough. You have to show it". But as young love is, we had blind faith, blind trust, blind love.
when you grow up, it isn't enough. How do I know? Because I was just asked why I even bother saying "I love you" if I can't talk on the phone, if I don't have time.
the rain's coming. I feel the drops. The heavens are weeping with the sorrow of the loss of love.
apparently I'm supposed to answer a question that says " oh there are situations?" (as to why I couldn't talk) " are there situations in which you stop loving someone?"
the fact that the question even came up, scares me. Perhaps I haven't been showing my love. However because of certain events, I've turned into a cold bitch. I can't get all "senti" or mushy. Even when I want to. Even when i need to.
I know ostriches are ugly, but I seriously wish I was one.
By the way, an ostrich egg is the single largest cell in the world. That.

Save all the thinking for later, bro. You only get to be a teenager once.

ReplyDeleteHass- eintien proved it, time is an illusion. Thus age, is a number. You know, I bet ostriches don't know how old they are.
